STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT and TREATMENT TECHNIQUES
Dr. Batson utilizes video fluoroscopy motion x-ray, plain film x-ray, and physical examiantion to analyze the biomechanics of the spine. Video fluoroscopy is a procedure of viewing and analyzing the spine in dynamic motion, whereby the patient is moving through a series of pre-determined motions while being examined via x-ray imaging. These images are captured for further review. Specific manual adjusting techniques, electronic adjusting instrumentation, infra-red instrumentation, as well as soft tisuue therapy are utilized for the correction of the subluxation/misalignment which may be causing a neurological, musculo-skeletal,and soft tissue symptomatology. Dr. Batson does not perform jerking or twisting adjustment procedures.
Dr. Batson utilizes the LORDEX Lumbar Decompression System. This is state of the art equipment utilized for lower back and leg pain associated with: disc bulging, disc herniations, spinal stenosis, facet syndrome, and sciatica. The therapy is gentle, relaxing, and effective to restore strength and function to the ligaments, disc, and soft tissue of the lower back. Decompression therapy targets the pain producing areas of the spine including disc, nerves, and bones(vertebra) that are undergoing abnormal biomechanical pressure. By gentle distraction of specific spinal segments, decompression therapy attempts to draw nutrients and disc material back into the disc space. Simultaneous specific and personalized muscle strengthening restores strength and stability to regain functional capacity of the spine.
Dr. Batson also consults with many organizations, municipalities, and businesses for the education of work place ergonomics and spinal care, with the emphasis on preventative care. Personalized lectures can be scheduled by contacting our office at 630-323-1181.
